Chapter 106

Xu Ziyue closed the window and only turned back around when his breathing returned to normal.

Between the door and wall was something slimy and white that resembled chewed gum.

But the amount of it behind the door was far more than a piece of chewed gum.

Xu Ziyue retreated back to his bed.

He was obviously very sleepy physically but mentally he was all tensed up, reminding him not to fall asleep like this.

Xu Ziyue even dragged the system out to confirm his own safety.

Although the answer was still affirmative, psychologically he couldn’t let it go.

Before his mind could completely clear up, the nurse Xu Ziyue met yesterday passed over a thermometer, “To record your body data, let’s take your temperature first.”

Xu Ziyue received it with squinted eyes and followed the nurse’s instructions and clamped the thermometer under his armpit.

Xu Ziyue was taken aback.

He fell asleep?

The window in his ward was now completely open and a breeze would flow in from time to time. The bright sunlight filtering in from outside was even a little blinding.

He was clearly terrified, but he had actually fallen asleep.

A nurse who had walked over at some unknown point in time smiled back at him. As for her face, it was the face of that nurse Xu Ziyue saw through the window last night.

Xu Ziyue swallowed nervously, stood up, turned and quickly left.

He boarded an elevator.

But what made him even more uncomfortable was that the nurse also followed him in!

The speed of the elevator was clearly quite fast but to Xu Ziyue, every second felt extremely long.

When the elevator finally reached the seventh floor, the nurse didn’t press a floor button for herself and instead followed Xu Ziyue out.

Seeing Xu Ziyue stepping out, the nurse followed him from behind and both gently and sweetly asked, “Which ward are you from?

Xu Ziyue planned to ignore her when the female nurse he was familiar with from his floor came over and stood in between Xu Ziyue and the nurse from last night.

“This is our patient.” When she was done saying this, she turned and said to Xu Ziyue, “Don’t worry, you can return to your ward first.”

Xu Ziyue couldn’t understand the strange atmosphere between the two nurses but he did indeed want to free himself from that nurse’s clutches.

And so, he very obediently left.

After that, Xu Ziyue cleaned himself up in the ward and, still not seeing the nurse from earlier.…..he could no longer sit still.

He wanted to see the patient in the ward just below his on the sixth floor and he also hadn’t had breakfast yet.
