Misplacement Game – CH107

Arc 5: The Seventh Sanatorium
Chapter 107

Xu Ziyue walked out of his ward and looked around. There were no patients or nurses in the corridor and at the front desk of this floor was a nurse Xu Ziyue didn’t recognise.

The nurse appeared to be very busy. Even as Xu Ziyue walked past, she didn’t look up.

Xu Ziyue went down to the sixth floor using the emergency exit. After sticking his head out and confirming that the nurse wasn’t around, he approached the room that was directly below his.

This building was very similar to those of hospitals and the layout of each floor was exactly the same. Since Xu Ziyue knew what the seventh floor looked like, he also knew what the sixth floor was like.

He went over to the ward on the sixth floor that was in the same location as his; Room 603.

Except for the bed near the bathroom being occupied, the others were empty. There was however a card at the head of those beds meaning that the beds were occupied but the owner wasn’t in the room.

As for the person who was still in the room, he looked like he wasn’t in a condition to walk.

Most of his body, neck, arms and legs…..They were all plastered and bandaged up. It was also because of this that he had a drip placed just above him.

Xu Ziyue went over to the head of the bed and saw that the person lying there had his head and neck also bandaged tightly like a mummy. His eyes however were wide open. Completely wide awake, he watched Xu Ziyue walk over.

Xu Ziyue was taken aback. He had thought that this person was asleep.

“You…..Are you alright after last night?” Xu Ziyue thought the player would die but it seemed that he had managed to survive even after falling from the sixth floor.

The muscles on the side of the player’s cheek twitched. He seemed to be trying to move his lips into a sneer.

“Do you think……this looks alright?” The player asked Xu Ziyue rhetorically.

Perhaps it was due to his injuries, his voice was hoarse. It sounded like it was squeezed out from his throat.

Xu Ziyue shook his head and didn’t show too much sympathy, “I didn’t mean that. It’s better to be alive than dead. Like this, you at least still have a chance to escape.”

The player gave a cold snort and closed his eyes, “You just want to ask me how to escape. You don’t have to waste your energy, I’m not telling you.”

Xu Ziyue: “……Alright, then you can lie there.” He originally wasn’t here to ask about that.

That player just snorted again. It carried a ‘sure enough’ tone.

Xu Ziyue looked over at the card at the head of the bed. The illness written there was ‘colon cancer’ and ‘multiple fractures throughout the body’.

The ‘multiple fractures throughout the body’ at the end was probably added today.

After turning and leaving ward 603, Xu Ziyue went to the cafeteria to eat.

Xu Ziyue observed the expressions of the other players. Most looked like there were assessing their surroundings as they mechanically stuffed food into their mouths.

There were also some who were in wheelchairs. Nurses pushed them into the cafeteria and helped feed them their food.

Among them, there were some who had difficulties eating but the nurses didn’t show any disdain and just patiently and meticulously helped clean the player and continue to slowly feed them bit by bit.

When Xu Ziyue was done, those patients were still being fed. It was unknown how long it would take.

He also didn’t know if the players were originally suffering from these illnesses or if these were forced onto them after entering this world.

Xu Ziyue wandered around the sanatorium with some suspicion. There were quite a few players and nurses entering and leaving that treatment building and they all had the same characteristic; filled with energy when they entered and later completely powerless when they come out.

With them almost completely paralysed, how could they still struggle?

When Xu Ziyue returned to the seventh floor, he happened to run into the nurse the had become familiar with. She was directing other nurses to move a patient into their ward.

He saw the nurse’s eyes light up with joy when she saw him. She quickly finished passing on her instructions to the other nurses before turning to Xu Ziyue and asking gently, “How do you feel today? Has your mood improved after walking around?”

Xu Ziyue smiled, “I feel very good.” He looked at the player who was unconscious and at the mercy of the others, “Is this a fellow sick comrade?”

“Mm……He’s different from you.” The nurse raised her hand and gently patted Xu Ziyue’s shoulder. As she swept away some non-existent dust, she said, “Don’t worry about him and don’t learn from him. In any case, he won’t be here for long.”

Xu Ziyue’s expression stiffened slightly but he managed to fix it up rather quickly. He quickly skipped over the seemingly dangerous topic, “Speaking of which, I don’t know your name. Can you tell me your name?”

Please read this from kk translates

The nurse looked at Xu Ziyue with some surprise. She then turned her head away a little shyly and said softly, “I am the head nurse on this floor. As for the name……You can just call me Nurse Jin.”

Xu Ziyue’s eyebrows were raised, “Jin…….Which Jin is it?”

“The Jin in brocade.”

Xu Ziyue quietly swallowed.

This situation isn’t right!

This is too strange!

The nurse’s expression and the way she spoke! And the name she told him!

Xu Ziyue did his best to calm himself down. He then smiled and said something meaningless: “That’s pretty nice. It must be hard working as a head nurse every day?”

“I’m used to it already so it’s okay. It is however a little boring but with you here it’s now different.” Nurse Jin glanced at the other nurses who were already standing by waiting, “Let’s not talk about this. I have to leave now. You can come find me anytime if you need anything.”

Head Nurse Jin finished talking to Xu Ziyue and turned to leave with the other nurses. She was the last to leave ward 703.

Before leaving she turned back and waved goodbye to Xu Ziyue with a sweet smile.

Xu Ziyue also responded with a wave.

But when the group of nurses left, Xu Ziyue could no longer maintain his expression!

Nurse Jin? Jin’er?

Was there a connection between those two?

Ah, also, the expression the two had when they saw him……..When he thought about it, it did indeed seem very similar.

It was as if only the face had changed. Xu Ziyue however hadn’t noticed it until now.

It was probably because the head nurse didn’t act particularly familiar with him at the beginning, but it could also be because she had no memory of the Humanoid Village and only had an inkling of emotions or something left from it.

Was it just like those bosses?

Xu Ziyue scratched his head and looked over at the patient beside him.

Although Nurse Jin had said not to worry about him, he could only rely on this person to know what is going on in this world…..

But recalling the Nurse Jin’s words ‘he won’t be here for long’, Xu Ziyue felt worried for this patient.

Ahhhhhhh…….He also needs to receive treatment in this world. With him not knowing what the situation is like, it was driving him crazy.

It’ll be really funny if all the main NPCs from previous instances were put into this one. They could continue their grudges against the players who killed or hurt them before. That would definitely increase the difficulty.

I’m somehow really happpy that this nurse is Jin-er :3
but what would the repercussions of that be? And what exactly is she feeling towards XZY? She wanted him to be her ‘master’ after all.

    Thank you for the chapter!

Well… I think there’s two “Lord God” here. One male and one female. The male is, of course, our ML. And the female is Jin’er.

Uh, is Jin’er friend or foe in this situation? I’m happy but wary. I hope she doesn’t try to get between XZY and Mo Mo.

Jin’er! So it’s not just the boss who gets “contaminated” with data from previous instances… And she seems aware that he’s not like the other players, too.

My impression that this is a mental asylum was wrong, apparently they mix every malady totally randomly? So weird…
